Van Window Fitting - Mercedes Sprinter 2018+ Barn Doors

This is a fitted price, not a price for glass on its own. It covers the pane, the bonding, the trim and the labour to fit it at our workshop at Unit 26, Waterhouse Business Centre, 2 Cromar Way, Chelmsford CM1 2QE. Booking is by arrangement, most single pane jobs are in and out the same day.

What is included

• E marked toughened safety glass to ECE R43, from our preferred UK van glass supplier.
• Privacy (dark tint) is standard and is what this price is based on. Clear glass is not made for every van, so if you would prefer clear, ask us and we will check what is available for yours before anything is ordered.
• Bonded in with professional grade urethane adhesive, with the aperture cut and primed properly.
• Internal trim finished off, not left raw.
• Fitted by Pro-Van's own installers at our workshop.

How long it takes

One pane or a pair is normally a same day job: drop the van with us in the morning and collect it later the same day. The bond itself is complete within an hour of application, but the cutting, priming, fitting and trimming take up the rest of the visit, so we will not pretend it is a while you wait job. Tell us what you need when you book and we will give you a realistic time for your van.

Why Pro-Van

We are a fitting workshop first and a supplier second. Seat conversions, racking and glazing are what we do every day, so the van goes back to you square, dry and properly trimmed. If your insurer wants confirmation that the work was carried out professionally, ask us and we will put it in writing.

Where the glass is fitted

Our Chelmsford workshop is the default and what we recommend, because bonded glass needs a clean, dry, temperature controlled space to cut, prime and cure in. Fitting at your own premises can be considered where the van can be worked on in an enclosed indoor space rather than outdoors, and where the inside of the van is clear at the aperture, with no cabinets, carpet or racking in the way. The same one hour bond time applies, so the van is not tied up for long at your end; send your postcode with your enquiry and we will confirm it case by case when we quote.

Prices

Prices shown are per pane, supplied and fitted, including VAT. Vans vary by wheelbase, roof height and whether they have barn doors or a tailgate, so please confirm your exact van with us before you book.

Barn door glass only. Our glass supplier does not currently list side panel glass for the 2019 on Sprinter. If you need a side window in a Sprinter of this age, call 01245 392225 and we will source it and quote separately.

Before we order your glass we check the exact vehicle against your order, so nothing turns up that does not fit. Send your registration with the order, or reply to your order confirmation with it, and we will run the check the same working day. If anything does not match we will call you on 01245 392225 before we spend a penny.
