Choosing secure van tool storage

Van break-ins rarely take long. A thief who gets through the back doors is looking for anything loose, and a lockable steel unit bolted to the floor is usually enough to send them on to the next van. It also stops your tools sliding around and getting damaged on the way to site, which most people notice before they ever notice the security benefit.

Drawer or box comes down to how you work. A drawer slides out to you and suits anyone who is in and out of the van all day. A box costs less and takes bulkier, less frequently used kit. Plenty of vans end up with one of each.

Measure before you buy. Check the width between the wheel arches, the height under any shelving you already have, and the payload you have left. Every unit here lists external and internal dimensions along with its own weight.
