Ford Ranger 2-Seat Commercial Rear Seat Conversion

A bench-style rear seat conversion for the Ford Ranger 2-Seat Commercial double cab, designed and fitted by our own team. The 2-Seat leaves Ford with the rear bench removed and the rear windows blanked over, but it keeps its factory seatbelt mounting points and its rear side glass. Our conversion works with what the vehicle already has, putting proper rear seating back into the cab without giving up the load-through space the 2-Seat is bought for.

• Fitted at our Chelmsford workshop. Carried out by our own engineers at our own workshop in Chelmsford, Essex. Nothing is subcontracted.

Fixed Backrest, Unfolding Base: Your Own Mini-Bulkhead

This is the headline, and it works the opposite way round to what most people expect. The backrest is fixed. It is the seat base that unfolds, and when it does it stands up to form a mini-bulkhead: a solid barrier across the back of the cab, between you and whatever is riding in the load area behind it.

That is genuinely useful on a working day. Load the back up with the seats out of use and your cargo stays where you put it, instead of arriving in the footwell at the first roundabout. Then fold the base back down and you have a full second row again in seconds, on three proper belts. No tools, nothing to unbolt, nothing left in the garage. Protection when the seats are not in use, seating when they are.

Rear Windows

Ford blanks the rear windows over on the 2-Seat, but the glass itself is still in the doors. Bringing those windows back into use forms part of the conversion scope. Build dates and specifications vary, so please talk to us about your particular vehicle and we will confirm exactly what we can achieve on yours.

The Process

Every conversion is carried out at our own workshop by our technicians. You book a build slot, the vehicle comes in to us, and it goes back to you converted, finished and documented. Fitting is a short workshop stay rather than a long off-road period, and we will confirm timings for your build when you enquire.

Fitting is included in the package price. There is no separate fitting charge to add on afterwards.

Launch Availability: Two Build Slots

We are first to market with a rear seat conversion for the Ranger 2-Seat Commercial. Two conversions are on order and due in to Pro-Van at the start of September, which puts the first fitting slots in early September.
