Defender Accessory Fitting
Buying the accessory is the easy part. Getting it mounted properly, wired correctly and working the way it should is where most owners come unstuck. We fit Land Rover Defender accessories every week, so the brackets go where they were designed to go and the vehicle leaves us tested.
We fit accessories we supply and accessories you have bought elsewhere.
What we fit
- Roof racks, rails and ladders. Mounted to the correct points, torqued and load checked.
- Side steps and rock sliders. Fitted square, sealed at every fixing point.
- Gear carriers and rear mounted storage. Including hinge and door reinforcement where the load calls for it.
- Load area protection. Liners, floor protection, dog guards and load restraint.
- Bulkhead delete kits and grab handles. The tidy-up work that follows a commercial conversion.
- Styling parts. Grilles, spoilers, bumper protectors, mud flaps and smoked lighting.
- Towbars and towing electrics. Tow-Trust towbars with dedicated ECS wiring, which connects through the vehicle’s own connectors rather than splicing into the loom. Land Rovers, vans, pickups and trucks only, we do not fit towbars to cars.
- Lighting and auxiliary equipment. Fused, routed and switched properly.
- Dealer level activations. Software features already built into the vehicle but switched off at the factory, enabled where the specification allows it.

Where the work is carried out
Our workshop
Accessory fitting is done at our Chelmsford workshop, where we have the lift, the tooling and the diagnostic kit. Most single accessory jobs are booked in and out on the same day.
On site at your premises
Straightforward bolt on work can sometimes be done at your site. Anything needing a lift, wiring into the loom or a software session is workshop only. We will tell you which category your job falls into when we quote.
Fleet and trade work
We fit for dealers, brokers and fleet operators on a trade basis, including batches of vehicles prepared to one specification before handover to the end customer. Trade pricing and consolidated VAT invoicing are available.
How the process works
- Send us the details. Vehicle, year, specification, and the accessories you want fitted.
- We quote in writing. Parts if you need them, fitting time and the booking date.
- We fit and test. Everything is checked and, where relevant, road tested before it leaves us.
- Handover. With fitting notes and any warranty paperwork for the parts supplied.
